New software, new way to work

An animatic using Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, an awesome program and great for the work I do.

Character Sheet: Koral

The third character in my dynamic trio, I actually redesigned her several times ( Rocky too) when I figured out exactly what her character was and her motivation, I'm very happy with the results.

Character Sheet: Rocky

Main character for a short I'm doing, the idea I had was that he's a protagonist that wants to be a "background" character. Unfortunately for him his attitude and circumstances usually thrust him into the spot light.

Character Sheet: Bill

The concept behind Bill is that he's a robot (surprise!) buried deep under the earth. He doesn't know (or can't remember) why he was buried there but he possess a high level of intelligence and loves to read the news paper.

Allatum sketch

I actually forgot I had this sketch. It's a rough idea of Allatum (Ereshkigal) I did a while ago. Haza!

Character Sheet: Orbit

Character sheet of my blob design. I wanted to explore shapes he could make with his body, I don't think I scratched the surface cause even now I'm thinking of new shapes he can make, but that what I like about this character the ideas are almost endless.

Animation blip

Just me practicing more animation with my characters, (this one is really rough though).

Colored Line Up

Decided to color my mini character line up, for each character I tried a different method for coloring them. May not be as drastic as I was hoping but a good way to keep my mind open.

Animation Exercise

Decided to do some animation exercises with my character's I've made, this one is a voice over exercise, if you know where the voice over came from give yourself a gold star.

I take no credit for the voice over just the animation.

Turtle color test

This was a test in coloring (at least it was) I was going for a more rendered look, but the colors with the sketch over it look so much better....so there. :P

Sketch Dump part 2

Haven't posted in awhile (bad me, bad, bad, bad me), any who here is some stuff I'm working on.

Line'em up!

Decided to drop another one this week. Put my main characters into silhouettes, wanted to compare them to each other in terms of body type and character.

Blobby Eye Colored

Colored the blob sketch with some revisions, really liked the way this came out, I'll be messing around with jelly based characters again.

Sketch Idea

Wanted to design a blob like character, the hook being that his eye doubles as his core and "router" to his "hands" which are the devices floating in his goo body.

Character concept: Troll

I decided to go for a more concept rendering instead of a character sheet (mainly to keep me out of my comfort zone and for a change of pace), anywho this is Troll, head of the house and husband to Malla. He has the IQ of a...well...take a look at him, dose he scream Einstein to you? What Malla see's in him is a mystery, it's the very definition of beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Designing him was fun I was going for all brawn no brain, but underneath that gruff exterior beats the heart of a family man, even if Troll doesn't know it yet.

Character: Malla

This initially started out as a random sketch from a random idea that ran through my head while I was working out. The concept was a prehistoric family coping with daily situations in their lives, but Hanna Barbara beat me to it (some 50+ years give or take) any who that idea branched off into a slice of life type story where a wife is trying to convince her husband that she wants to have a baby in a prehistoric environment. Malla would be that wife.

Character Design: Purse

I'm playing around with body type with my character desgins, this one is inspired by Mr. Oogie Boogie from "Nightmare Before Christmas". His story is he's a sack like monster that's a glutton for magic, he eats so much that he starts to burst at the seams and must constantly stitch himself back together.

Heavily influenced by the Blue Bomber this is a character who's design I'm working out and I also messing around with in the color department.

A character sketch, she is one of the more aggressive character in a story I'm working on.

Another character idea

Hello all, this is an idea I have in my head that I wanted to get out before I start a big project. The idea was a genie is summoned, but she is more interested in filling her playlist then she is with granting wishes. Just a little idea dancing in my head.
